I know I have said this before but April is the best time to be off work in Louisville! To wrap up my maternity leave, we tried to take in a few of the derby festivities. Most of the events were after work, which is a hectic time with 2 kids. We missed the parade preview at the Fair and Expo, which would have been a great opportunity to see all the Derby Parade floats up close. Oh well, maybe next year.
On Thursday, the Budweiser Clydesdale horses were at Wesport Village, which is a great shopping center recently built in the back of our old neighborhood. We met Ann, Grant and Sloane there for a little weekday fun. The horses were incredible. We also enjoyed a small bite to eat and the kids (including Ryan) enjoyed some ice cream!
