5 weeks old and growing like a weed! Jake's 5 week appointment was yesterday morning and we got an official weight...12 lbs 7 oz, stark naked! His length is 23.5 inches, which places him at the 90%ile for both his weight and length! His head circumference is 75%ile! Everything checked out perfectly. His heart murmur sounds the same and his tear ducts are still blocked, both as expected! He only had to get 1 shot so the crying was minimal!
Our first week of "baby bootcamp" went great. He is sleeping a little longer each night and the good nights are starting to far outweight the bad nights. The past 2 nights, he has slept from ~1030 - 3-330! Not too bad. I feel like it will be pretty managable for going back to work next week. Jake is also starting to get a lot more alert during his awake time, which Kate thoroughly enjoys. She kisses all over him every morning before she leaves for school. Too cute for words!
