Ava & Luke's birthday party's and playdate with Lucy

Another fun weekend. This one filled with 2 birthday parties, including Ava's 2nd at Gattiland in Lexington and Luke's 3rd at his house. Kate had the chance to see all her friends, ate lots of pizza, a cupcake, and played really hard.

Sunday was fairly lazy. We had the pleasure of keeping Lucy for a few hours and Kate really enjoyed being a pretend big sister. She read to her, cooked her a lot of food from her kitchen, showed her how to jump in the bed, and helped change her diaper! Lucy was about as perfect as you get. We felt pretty good that we could handle a second, as long as the second is just like Lucy :)

As usual, we ventured down to The Sherman's tonight for some yummy lasagna! Ryan, Kate and myself have all been fed really well since the arrival of Sloane! I am off to Chicago for a few days this week so I am sure Ryan will be making his way down there for another meal! THANK YOU ANN!!!

5K...incredible pictures by Jon

Here are the pictures I downloaded from Jon and April's website (jonandapril.com). They are incredible. I feel like I owe him 100's of dollars due to the quality. A big thank you goes out to Jon for taking the time to take the pictures and downloading them to your website. Thank you also for letting me copy most of them into my web album.

Here is the link...enjoy!

5K and John Riley's birthday

What a tremendous weekend! First and foremost, it was 70 degrees and sunny on Saturday, making for a perfect day by itself. We had an action packed day, which added even more to the already perfect day. Saturday morning started off with our kick off to the Kentucky Derby Festival 1/2 marathon. Ryan, our dear friend April, and myself are all running the Triple Crown, which is 3 races leading up to the 1/2 marathon and are 5K, 10K, and 10 miles in length. We all headed out at 7:00 on Saturday to enjoy a great run with perfect weather. I pushed Kate in the jogger and she did great. I got her out of the stroller with about 50 yards to go so she could run across the finish line with me and she was so excited. She ran her heart out...but stopped with about 10 feet to go. So I picked her up and ran the last few feet with her on my hip and pushing the jogger. Since I am quite out of shape, this was an adventure!

April's husband Jon, who is the best runner of us all but is sitting these races out, is a great photographer and captured all the joy of the event. I will post those pictures as soon as I get a chance to download them from their website. There are so many precious ones of Kate :)

After a great breakfast and we ventured back home to open up all the windows and clean the house. Kate then napped and Ryan and Jon went to the driving range. We all met back up for John Riley's 3rd birthday party. Kate partied with all her friends and finally sacked out about 9:00. She was in heaven all day as were we!

Attached are some pictures from the party as well as Kate "golfing" with her Daddy in the front yard. The last few pictures are ones Kate took this morning. It is always fun to see what the world looks like from her eyes!

Enjoy!
