I apologize to all of you out there who check the blog for my lack of posts. I thought I was going to have some time this past weekend to post some pictures from the last 2 weekends but just can't seem to do it. I am still really sick but am hoping I am nearing the end. I have had a few 2 days here and there without vomiting so I think the end is in sight. The fatigue subsided with Kate around 13 weeks so hopefully I will be able to blog in place of 2-3 hour naps on the weekend here soon. It is just amazing how hard this pregnancy has been. Worth it I know...just hard.
I have several pictures to post when I get back from Chicago so stay tuned. Weekend before last, my mom and Bob came up for a Bats game and last weekend, Ryan's Dad and Opal Ann came up for a visit. We had a blast both weekends! It is so nice to have enough room for everyone to come up and stay :)

New addition to The Mardis Family
Yes, that is right, there will be a new addition to The Mardis Family in March of 2010! We are so excited we can hardly stand it. One small glitch...I have been sicker than a dog this time around. To date (7 weeks), there has not been one similarity between the two pregnancies. I now understand how fortunate I was with Kate to have survived the pregnancy with only a few minor/typical problems/illnesses. This time around, I can't seem to keep anything down.
Ryan and I went to the doctor this past Wednesday and got to see a picture of the little one, heart beating a solid 120 bpm. Our doctor said that was a great heartrate for the age. It will go up as he/she ages!
We are due March 28th! Kate is very excited and keeps asking if she can change it's diaper all by herself. I guess my new goal is to get her trained for the 3:00 a.m. diaper change :) The funny part is that she does not want it to be a boy. We keep asking her what to name her little brother or little sister, she says, "well, mommy, it is not going to be a brother." I guess this is one way to teach a 3 year old disappointment.
Sorry there are no pictures this week. We had a fun weekend but if you refer back to paragraph one, I have not been feeling well enough to take the time to remember the camera, much less, take pictures. On top of that, Kate has been running a 101-103 degree temperature since Thursday. Needless to say, it was kinda a low-key weekend. We tried to go to Lucy's 1st birthday party on Saturday afternoon but only lasted about 20 minutes. Sorry we missed it Miss Lucy! We hope you had a wonderful big day! You looked too precious in your pink tutu!

Sarah's Baby Sprinkle
We made the most of a long weekend with Sarah and Sam in town. As noted below, we swam most of Saturday. Sunday morning, Sarah and I took the kids to the zoo for a few hours and then we headed to Jennifer's for Sarah Baby Sprinkle! It was so fun to look at all the precious little girl goodies!
April and I gave Sarah 7 new homemade tie-dye onsies! They turned out great but really I think we had more fun making them than anything!
Enjoy all the pictures!

Swimming...finally
There are also a few from Saturday. Sarah and Sam Clements came up for the weekend and we had a blast! The kids swam for most of the afternoon Saturday since the temperature actually reached above 80! We cooked out with the Sherman's and then watched a little TV before all the kids went down (quickly) around 9. The pool was enjoyed by all this weekend!
