"Big Sandy" is back!

Last summer we thoroughly enjoyed visiting and talking to the horse who lives at the first house in our neighborhood. Having never met her owners to learn her (his?) real name, she affectionately became "Big Sandy". We said hello, good morning, good afternoon, etc to her every day last summer and she became a fixture of conversation on the way to/from school! Once it turned cold last last year, Big Sandy went to visit her friends, or at least that what Kate decided. Well...much to our enjoyment, Big Sandy returned to her home last weekend! It is amazing how this random horse that we have no ties to can bring such joy to our daily commutes! Needless to say, I think there are a lot of peppermints, carrots, apples, etc in Big Sandy's future this summer. What fun!
