Here are some more beautiful pictures by Jon Nodine! We finished the 4th of 4 Derby themed races this morning, topping it all off with a 1/2 marathon. Ryan ended up not running the 1/2 due to a stomach bug that he caught from Kate earlier in the week. One of Jon and April's dear friends, Casey, ran it so I at least had some company at the start of the race. The weather was beautiful for the spectators but aweful for the runners...low to mid 80's during the race. That is way too warm when we have all been training in less than 60 degree weather. Oh well...I finished, which is all that matters. It feels good to know that I have now run 7 1/2 marathons!Kate had a blast as always watching the race with Ryan, April, Jon, and Sarah (Jon's sister who came in from St. Louis with Casey). She thinks she is a runner as you can tell from these pictures. She had the cutest little dress on at the start but in all of these pictures she has a little polo shirt on over it??? Who know when Daddy is in charge :) Just kidding...she looks cute in whatever.
Kate and I topped this afternoon off with a little nap while Ryan worked in the yard. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with our neighbors and tomorrow is filled with more yard work and house cleaning. We are hoping to put the "For Sale" sign in the front yard early this week and officially list it next Sunday. Everything is shut down in Louisville this week due to the Derby so our agent is planning on listing it next Sunday to ensure it doesn't get lost in the rest of the new listings this week.
Attached are also some pictures from William's 4th birthday party last weekend. Kate wasn't feeling the best (start of the stomach bug) but the pictures are cute. Enjoy!
